2001 Lido Electric Sedan
Designed to be more practical than a car and more versatile than a golf cart, the battery-powered Lido was the latest concept in a joint venture that included automotive legend Lee Iacocca in 2001. This street-legal personal vehicle is convenient, maneuverable and emission-free, making it ideal for recreation, shopping trips, or even short commutes.
With a top speed of 25+ mph, the Lido is capable of running about 30 miles on a single charge. Its upholstered seats can comfortably accommodate four people, and its trunk is spacious enough to hold two golf bags or several weeks' worth of groceries. The steel and fiberglass chassis houses an advanced rear wheel drive 48V DC motor that can be fully charged in 6 to 8 hours-just plug it into a household outlet overnight (cable included) and it will be ready to roll the following morning.
The Lido is classified as a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) and complies with all Federal NEV safety standards. Hydraulic brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, driver side mirror, automotive lighting (head, tail, and brake lights), Safety Glass, 3-point anchored front seat restraints, and rear lap belts are all standard. Can be used on city streets with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. Prices start at $12,999.95 for the two door coupe and $14,999.95 for the Sedan model.
