The 1968-1972 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 Sedans are considered to be the world's first Sleeper car; taking the powerful Fuel Injected 6.3L V-8 engine from the Mercedes-Benz 600 Limousine and fitting it to the S-Class W109 platform. The result? 250 horsepower, 369 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60mph time of 6.5 seconds...all in a pure Mercedes-Benz luxury with room for 5! The 300SEL 6.3 came factory equipped with Power Steering, Power Windows, Central Locking, Air Conditioning, Full Leather Interior, Adjustable Air Suspension and a 4-Speed Automatic Transmission. These 300SEL 6.3's are truly special automobiles.
Cardiff Classics is proud to offer this beautiful 1969 example, finished in Ivory over Medium Red Leather Hides. This car benefits from having a mechanical and cosmetic restoration performed in Oregon before being purchased by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Irvine, California. The Classic Center finished the restoration, rebuilding the front & rear axles, and replacing the shocks and airbag suspension. Upon completion, the car was offered for sale at the Classic Center and was purchased. Most recently (May, 2009), the car received nearly a $9,000 Major Service (see receipts) which included:

This Mercedes is in Show Condition. The Ivory paint is flawless as is the chrome. All emblems and insignia are present and in excellent condition. The Adjustable Air Suspension is new and works perfect as does the central locking feature. The interior is also in pristine condition. All instruments are functional, the original clock still ticks, and the original AM/FM Becker Stereo plays music fantastically. The wood is flawless, the seats are comfortable, the headliner is in excellent condition, and the carpet looks like new. The car includes the spare tire, original jack and tools, and the original owner's manual with leather case.
